Staff
Patrick Pittman is the Director of Career & Testing Services. He began working at CFCC in August of 2003. Prior to that, he worked at the NC Community College System Office as the state GED Administrator and coordinator of the GED and Adult High School programs. Mr. Pittman has also taught in the public school system and worked at Carteret Community College as Basic Skills Assessment/Retention Specialist. He received his Master of Art's Degree in Adult Education from ECU in 2000.

Jennifer Frazee is the Career and Testing Services Counselor. She began working at CFCC in October of 2001 in the Counseling Unit. In August of 2008, she joined the Career and Testing Services staff. Prior to that, Ms. Frazee had worked for several years in the North Carolina Community College System in various capacities including counseling, coordinating testing, organizing disability services, teaching Developmental Studies classes, and co-coordinating an Academic Study Skills Writing Center. She received her Master of Arts in Counselor Education from ECU in 1998.

Betty Northam has been with CFCC since 1984. She served as secretary to the Director of Career and Testing until 2001 when she was promoted to Testing Technician. Her expertise includes all phases of testing including placement testing, Psychological Service Bureau (PSB) testing for Health Science Programs and since 1997 has served as an Alternate GED Examiner.

Scott Coulthard is the Career Services & Testing Technician for the North Campus. He began working at CFCC in September of 2003. Previously, he was the Site Director of a test-scoring center in Nashville, Tennessee for Measurement Inc., a privately owned company specializing in large-scale academic assessment. He has 12 years of experience related to all phases of academic assessment. He received his Bachelor of Art's Degree in English from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1989.

Joyce MacIvergan has been with CFCC since 1992. She worked as a work-study for one year before being hired as a full time employee in the Financial Aid Office. She transferred to the Career & Testing Services Office as Secretary in November of 2003. Joyce has expertise in providing students with information concerning all areas of Student Development.

Matthew Thomas is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies. He has worked as a facilitator at UNC-W and program director at the local YMCA. Matthew is from Lumberton, North Carolina and is joining the Student Development team as our Career and Job Placement Specialist.
